Panoramic
Home

These were made by stitching several shots taken at the same location using Photo Vista or Spin Panorama.  I have used other packages but These are the two I use most.  They both will stitch many photos together to make wide expansive shots at very high resolutions.  But they are large and will take some time to download over your standard dial up connection.

Sydney_Opera_House_with_a_new_sky.jpg (1674142 bytes)
This photo was Taken in Sydney at about 9am.  I didn't use a tripod so the pan had a left hand drop to it. As a result I had to clone the top half of the building on the left to avoid cropping the top of the clam shell opera house.   Extensive stitch errors also had to be cloned.  The sky was a total mess mostly due to the building problems and had to be removed and replaced with this clear sky.
Big Island Crater at KMC.jpg (655197 bytes)
I took this one on the "Big Island" of Hawaii.  The only editing that was done was to remove a lens flare from the left hand side of the picture.
Bishop Museum.jpg (552011 bytes)
Not much in the way of art here, but this picture of the Bishop Museum came out perfect.  Not a single touch of the PhotoShop magic wand was needed.  I also too the picture with the camera on its side to get a taller aspect ratio.
Sharks Cove.jpg (617991 bytes)
Sharks Cove in April '99.  Another great stitch without any retouching. You can see the slight warping on the horizon though caused by the lens distortion.
